Cs Go Karambit Blue Gem Stattrak Factory New
When Valve introduced collectible skins to CSGO way back in 2013, it couldn't possibly have imagined how big the market would become. Today, it's estimated that the CSGO skin market is worth some five billion dollars, being as it is a diverse and thriving landscape. With that information in mind, we ask the question, "What are the most expensive CSGO skins in history?"
There are around one thousand collectible skins in CSGO, all of them different from the next. Since 2013, fans have been collecting, unlocking, and trading skins that can be applied to weapons, knives, and even gloves. In many cases, these skins command a high price on the open market, with some of them reaching up into the tens of thousands of dollars.
CSGO skins can be used for skin betting, paying on platforms like Skinpay, or simply to make players a lot of money. Without further ado, let's jump into the list.
1. Souvenir Dragon Lore AWP
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Cobblestone
Value: ~$30,000
Rarity: As Rare As It Gets
The Souvenir AWP is one of the most iconic weapon skins in CSGO history. It's also one of the most expensive and rarest skins in CSGO, giving it quite a hefty and legendary profile. There's one leading reason behind the rarity of the Dragon Lore AWP, and that's the original method of organic acquisition. Once upon a time, spectators of CSGO pro games could receive a Cobblestone case for watching players compete on Cobblestone.
Now, it's estimated that there was a 1 in 250,000 chance of actually unboxing a Souvenir Dragon Lore – particularly one boasting a Factory New condition. However, as the Cobblestone map was removed from the pro circuit pool, there's no natural way to unlock the weapon anymore. It's now an exclusive, highly collectible, and massively expensive CSGO skin.
2. StatTrak M4A4 Howl
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Huntsman
Value: ~$8000
Rarity: Extremely
The M4A4 Howl skin is about as rare and iconic as a CSGO skin can be. Not only does it look incredible, but it's also a remarkably expensive and sought-after skin in the CSGO competitive scene. When this skin launched as part of the Huntsman Collection, it was relatively rare, but events that occurred after its launch made it more so.
Due to a copyright claim on the artwork, Valve was forced to remove the skin from the collection, meaning it could no longer be earned organically. In 2020, a private buyer allegedly purchased an uber-rare StatTrak variant of the Howl skin for a record $130,000.
One of the most expensive CSGO skins in history? You bet. It's also widely regarded as one of the best weapon skins in CSGO overall.
3. StatTrak Fire Serpent AK-47
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Bravo
Value: ~$8000
Rarity: Considerably Rare
Nowadays, the Fire Serpent skin is a rarer one to see simply because of its age. It came in as part of the second collection ever launched, and in that collection, it was a remarkably rare drop. The Fire Serpent AK-47 skin was marked as Covert, meaning it was the rarest category of drop a player could unlock at the time.
Today, the Fire Serpent is a lesser-seen skin with a considerably high value, particularly when it crops up on the market with a Factory New condition.
4. StatTrak Case Hardened AK-47
Condition: Minimal Wear
Collection: Arms Deal
Value: ~$150,000
Rarity: One-of-a-Kind
There is no skin in CSGO quite as rare or expensive as the StatTrak Case Hardened AK-47 skin. Even though this particular skin wasn't in Factory New condition, it still sold for a record-setting $150,000 at the start of 2021. The value comes as a result of the weapon being a true one-of-a-kind example. There is one of these skins in the entire universe, and it won't ever appear again.
The sale of this skin was so high-value that a skin broker had to be used, acting as a middle-man to facilitate the sale.
5. Crimson Kimono Specialist Gloves
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Hydra
Value: ~$10,000
Rarity: Quite Rare
The 'facilitator' that we mentioned in the previous listing regularly helps buyers and sellers trade their items safely. When we browsed the items this facilitator was promoting, we found a Factory New Crimson Kimono specialists glove skin, listed at $11,000.
This particular variant of the Crimson Kimono skin is quite rare, as it traditionally surfaces in the market in a less desirable condition. While this glove skin isn't a one-of-a-kind, it's still considerably expensive and rare enough to make this list.
6. StatTrak Bayonet Crimson Web
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Arms Deal
Value: ~$11,000
Rarity: Very Rare
This skin variant of the M9 bayonet was added to CSGO when skins launched for the very first time. It quickly became a fan favourite, and from the get-go, it boasted the rarest category grading possible – Covert. The StatTrak variant is, of course, much rarer than the Covert variant, a fact that boosts the value up even further.
Today, almost ten years after this skin first dropped, it remains a popular skin on the open market. In 2015, Valve discontinued the skin from cases in circulation, further boosting its rarity. It's a knife skin adored by some of the best CSGO players, and it's further prized for the unique webbing that differs from blade to blade.
7. Pandora's Box Sport Gloves
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Hydra
Value: ~$20,000
Rarity: Quite Rare
The Factory New variant of the Pandora's Box sport gloves is one of the most expensive CSGO skins out there, for a glove skin. This skin first graced the market back in 2016, and the bold purple coloration quickly became a hit with fans around the world.
Owing to the rarity of the Factory New variant, this skin is one of the most expensive glove skins you can find on the market today. They're more commonly seen on the marketplace in a battle-scarred condition, and even then they can cost as much as one thousand dollars.
8. Medusa AWP
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Gods and Monsters
Value: ~$8,000
Rarity: Considerably Rare
The Medusa AWP skin is famed mostly for its attractive design and striking image. It was added back in 2015 and quickly became a favourite within the AWP'er circle, but the Factory New variant has always been mostly unobtainable.
It's a Covert skin that had an extremely rare chance of dropping naturally, which boosted its value immensely. Today, a Factory New variant of the Medusa AWP can sell for around eight thousand dollars.
9. King Snake Driver Gloves
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Clutch
Value: ~$20,000
Rarity: Extremely Rare
These attractive gloves first dropped in 2018 as part of the Clutch Collection, and they were instantly popular. Listed with the Extraordinary rating, these gloves aren't quite as rare as some of the CSGO skins on this list, but they are extremely sought-after.
Like many items on this list, the King Snake Driver Gloves fetch the highest price when traded with the Factory New condition. This is an extremely rare drop to achieve, giving the King Snake gloves skin a deserving value of around $20,000.
10. Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem
Condition: Factory New
Collection: Arms Deal
Value: ~$15,000
Rarity: Very Rare
The Blue Gem variant of the Karambit Case Hardened knife is a remarkable and rare collector's item in CSGO. It has been said that if you unbox a Case Hardened skin (like this Karambit), the chances of landing a Blue Gem variant are less than one percent. Furthermore, the patterning on this knife skin is unique and differs from weapon to weapon.
Like the Case Hardened AK-47 that sold for $150,000, the Blue Gem Case Hardened Karambit was released way back in 2013. It's an iconic weapon, skin, and choice for the budding collector, and it boasts an extremely high price tag.
